MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. In Medellin, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her most streamed track Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo was raised in a musical family, his older brother and mother are also musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. When he was a kid, he began learning how to play the saxophone, ukulele and piano.
