Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress best well-known for her role as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington located in Ohio left high school in order to move to Los Angeles after her divorced parents. Even though she had financial difficulties in 2001, her debut came as Rachel's Room's principal character. She went on to earn a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 for her performance as fifteen-year-old victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford played the lead actress in Lost during its initial two seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Grace left the show to focus on her acting career. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. The actress was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. In 2013, she was a guest in the sixth season of Californication. She plays Faith she is an admirer and muse to the stars. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family and is the elder sibling of Jake Gyllenhaal. She started her acting career as a teenager with small appearances in his films. She also appeared together with her brother in famous cult classic Donnie Darko (2001). She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics in both of her roles as the lead actress in Secretary (2002) which is an erotic romance drama drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated for The Golden Globe Award. In the wake of several successful commercial films such as World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew in the role of Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). The film was nominated to win an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role as Rachel Dawes in Crazy Heart, (2009). Following that she was able to star in comedies and dramas like Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as The Won't Back Down (12). Gyllenhaal made her debut as a director and writer in 2021, with the psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
